I belong out in the world

I’m caught up in the rat race of life

When I belong amongst the trees

I sit at a desk all day, working away with limited reach

When I belong out in the world where my soul can connect with many

I’ve stopped hearing the birds as one large band, now I hear each bird play their part

I’ve stopped seeing the tress as a forest, now I see each leaf in the canopy

Now is time to stop the rat race and join the trees where my soul belongs
